Slippery Falls 2006

Membership in Troop 217 for 2012 is only $60.00 per year.  This includes the Boy Scouts of America registration fees, Boys Life Magazine, annual equipment fees and troop dues.  The dues cover Rank advancement award patches, merit badge patches, the advancement cards that the youth are given as a permanent record, and other miscellaneous troop expenses. Campouts are usually an additional $15 for food and campground fees.

In addition to working on rank advancement and merit badges, Troop 217 Scouts actively participate in several campouts and service projects throughout the year. Camping opportunities are usually highlighted by a July float trip to the Current River in Missouri, and a winter camping adventure at Trapper's Rendezvous in Kansas in January. Many of our scouts attend a week-long summer camp at Slippery Falls Scout Ranch in June. Through these experiences, scouts have a lot of fun, and learn great leadership and survival skills.
